The Cost of Publishing

A couple of weeks ago, Rachelle Gardner posted some figures on how much publishers budget for each book they publish. Every publisher and every book is different, so I thought it might be nice to be able to put different values in and also to include the author's royalty, which is something she didn't do. The default values for the form below are the ones she gave:

Royalty Advance
Royalty (dollars per book)
Cover Price
Publishers Return (per book)

Note: Royalties are generally calculated as a percentage, but because the calculation is dependent on many variables this form uses a dollars per book figure instead.
